What makes our doctors different?

Growing up in Upstate New York, our doctors were first introduced to concepts of naturopathic medicine by family members who taught them simple, natural ways to address just about every common ailment. They went on to become Division 1 athletes, attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, majored in kinesiology, earned distinctions such as USA Triathlon All-American, and won national athletic championships.

While serving as Army officers, our doctors faced multiple health challenges, including fractured bones, traumatic brain injuries, and autoimmune diagnoses. These obstacles led them to search for approaches beyond conventional medicine. They met Naturopathic Doctors outside of the military medical system who helped them begin their healing journeys.

As their health improved, they became passionate about helping others diagnosed with autoimmune conditions and other military members or veterans living with unseen illnesses. Our doctors aim to offer others the same hope that Naturopathic medicine has offered them.

They are graduates of Bastyr University California. In their final year of school, they served as Naturopathic Medical Student Association (NMSA) Presidents, were named NMSA Public Policy Fellows, helped lead the AANP’s Task Force for Veterans Affairs, and volunteered as Whole Health Facilitators for veterans at the San Diego VA hospital. They are also active in faith-based organizations such as the Navigators and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, spike ball, ultimate frisbee, and line dancing in their free time.
